What to expect from mini-sites
The main purpose of a mini-site is to get ranking on key phrases that won't get indexed on your main site. For example, elder lawyers often have several related practice areas such as Medicaid, Trusts and Estate Planning.
On a typical lawfirm web site it is normal to list these different areas of practice and have a page describing what is provided. Problem is that they look totally different to search engines and dilutes the value of each one.
A search engine optimized mini-site using only keywords and content related to a specific practice area will, in most cases end up on the first page on Google for those search terms. In addition, we often localise the search terms.
For example, for an elder lawyer in Vancouver, WA we will key the mini-site to key phrases like: "Medicaid Vancouver WA" etc.
It works.
Usually, traffic on these minisites range from 300-600 visitors each month and growing. Resulting in inquiries that are very focused to that practice area.
By linking into your main site from the mini-sites (and also from our pool of law sites) the main site also gets better ranking.
Bottom line is that you will capture new visitors that you wouldn't have seen on your main site.
